The water quality of the Baltic Sea in Timmendorfer Strand has been classified as ‘very good’, even after the biological, mechanical and chemical testing methods were tightened up in 2006. The Ministry for Social Affairs, Health, Family, Youth and Senior Citizens regularly tests the water quality in the summer months – so that you can bathe on our beautiful beaches without any concerns.
